Re: Tinnitus
I got this after attending a stupidly loud rave a few years back. Any noise masks it. Any distraction masks it. I tested mine in my recording studio and its at about 5000 htz. Funny how a body works.

Re: Tinnitus
Thanks all. Someone else has suggested white noise when trying to get to sleep. Worth a try as that’s the worst time.

Re: Tinnitus
You could try seeing a hypnotist. Not sure if they can make you not hear it through hypnotherapy or not.

About 4 years ago after seeing Maiden up in Aberdeen. I thought it was the flight home that had done it

Too be fair an awful lot of ear abuse previously, but I always tried to be careful.

Always a low level hum or ping it changes from day to day. Some days I notice worse then others. Had it checked out but little they could determine .

Have lost a bit hearing since.

I kinda of live with it, but feel for other folk that may have it worse.

Pony hope you find something that helps.

Re: Tinnitus
I’ve had this for maybe three years. Most of the time I don’t notice it but if one ear is covered it very obvious or if I remember I have it I can hear it. Constant high pitched sound. Not actually unpleasant as it doesn’t affect my hearing but at 42 I do wonder how bad it can get.

It’s 100% from having music too loud whilst using in ear headphones and using cotton buds daily.

Re: Tinnitus
How loud is the ringing?

I will definitely get it at some point, spent most of my youth standing next to huge reggae sound systems, the sort that makes your eyeballs vibrate in their sockets and your teeth rattle together. Plus would listen to my Walkman full volume for hours a day for years. Absolute miracle I don’t have it yet

Re: Tinnitus
Working in live events loads of my colleagues get this, the best place for advice they have found is from the musicians union.

Advice is free if you are in the industry, just say you are a splitter driver/merch/truck driver if they ask

I was told from day one to wear earplugs, was good advice.

Yeo. Got this. It's fucking irritating.

Many years of clubbing,.working in one, etc. Now constant ringing when it's quiet and I haven't tuned it out
